Who We Are
Our Mission is to build literacy and a lovefor learning by igniting imagination, inspiring
creativity, and investing in the self-esteem of young people.

WRiTE BRAiN, believes every student, whether a preschooler or high schooler, discovers their own voice by developing their "writer's voice." With WRiTE BRAiN, every student, whether a preschooler or high schooler, discovers their own voice by developing their "writer's voice." Through a series of inspiring academic activities designed to lower the affective filter and build literacy and social-emotional skills, students breathe life into characters within dynamic, self-created worlds, experiencing and critically analyzing artwork that conveys a purely visual narrative.
The "top down" text book and screen-staring digital approaches to writing and reading education have mostly failed. They do offer benefits, but lack flexibility and fun, and frequently aren’t implemented faithfully enough. Educators deserve to find richness and value in curricula as much as students do. And more than ever, they need to.
What we do at WRiTE BRAiN is develop and provide a curriculum that is always both, while also igniting an instant and authentic sense of purpose in every student offered the opportunity to write content that is meaningful to their audience of readers - and themselves. Without a personal connection to their schoolwork, students of all ages and learning styles will lower their expectations and find ways to justify doing so.
The WRiTE BRAiN team is on a joyous and gravely serious mission to help our youth become more like the people who read this page to the bottom.
Our Founder & CEO,
Meredith Scott Lynn
"Every child has a story to tell. I believe it isin our listening that they will discover who
they are."

Meredith understands the value of self-expression in building a student’s self-esteem. Like you, she sees a world in which young people are making fewer connections—not just to other people, but to themselves and to big picture and holistic concepts. They are distracted. They are anxious. They look up less often. They listen less actively. Parts of their brains are overwhelmed while other parts are underdeveloped. They think less critically, process less slowly, and many are not able to sign their own names.
With WRiTE BRAiN, every student discovers his or her own voice as they give voice to characters in the colorful and imaginative worlds that they themselves create. Meredith's ultimate goal: empowered, self-aware students who like themselves.
Knowing the real issues facing today’s youth, socially, emotionally, and academically, Meredith and the WRiTE BRAiN team are dedicated to developing and providing curricula, programs, and opportunities that help every student find his or her voice and feel successful...beyond the limiting measurements of test scores alone.
