"The WRiTE BRAiN BOOKS program is all-inclusive and allows students from all backgrounds and ability levels the chance to feel successful. WRiTE BRAiN gives me tools and lessons that allow me to disguise the learning process for my students. They are actively involved in a rigorous, standards-aligned program in the art of authoring a children’s book, and they don’t even know how much they’re learning...."

"Write Brain has been a game-changer for 6-12 (ELs) in Miami-Dade. From an academic paradigm, WRiTE BRAiN provides authenticity to State Literature Standards. Through the authoring process, ELs understand these standards as they create the story elements, as well as develop the characters, plot lines and dialogue over the course of their original narrative. ....These students engage in productive language struggles that bring meaning to their world."

"The enthusiasm among educators regarding the impact of WRiTE BRAiN on students has been as remarkable as the data which show very high levels of proficiency levels and reclassification. Teachers are thrilled with the results they’re witnessing in their students. The transformation from passive learners to active producers has been a game-changer for our district. initially reluctant students are fully on board, actively participating, sharing their progress daily, and reaching proficiency levels."

"As an educator, I appreciate how easy it is to use the High School Curriculum guide. I am able to modify class learning sessions to fit the needs of my students and our school. I appreciate the "step-by-step" approach of WRiTE BRAiN. It takes a huge project: 'Write a book! Become a published author!' and breaks it up into small, manageable "mini projects" for students. Students love the freedom that exists within WRiTE BRAiN."

"While journeying through all the most important narrative writing skills, my wide-eyed, engaged 4th graders took hold of their learning, crafting strong and unique narrative stories. Simultaneously, they interacted with one another, fostering the ever-important 21st century skills, such as communicating, collaborating, compromising, and critiquing. The WRiTE BRAiN BOOKS experience pulled students away from devices, allowing them to be face-to-face, making eye contact. They developed empathy for the characters they created, as well as for their peers. The process takes students on an authentic writing adventure, while also helping them grow and develop socially. This is the perfect supplement to our writing curriculum!"

"With WRiTE BRAiN, my newcomer EL students were able to write in the language of their choice, which made them feel valued. The program allowed me to adapt to all students’ needs because it scaffolded the work and provided so many options for differentiation. Student confidence was raised and their reading comprehension improved. This program motivated the students to come to class. They were even more engaged because they could see the value in what they were making."

"As a former NJ State Teacher of the Year, i take my role in elevating students’ education very seriously. i am a tough critic of curricula and instructional strategies implemented in our classrooms. i am not inspired by most of what educators are required to teach these days. i think it’s quite possible that the WRiTE BRAiN BOOKS K-12 curricula is a perfect supplement to literally any literacy program, and an excellent stand-alone program where one is needed. When implemented with fidelity, WRiTE BRAiN is the vehicle to ensure student engagement, ownership, and academic achievement. i believe that this curriculum is the missing link in education as a whole."

"I have always had the philosophy that if you can get your students to love what they are doing, they will learn more and will instill habits that will last their entire life. WRiTE BRAiN doesn’t just teach a lesson, it creates writers. When you love what you are learning, you put more passion and effort into it. WRiTE BRAiN learners love the curriculum. They are motivated to write their books, proud of their accomplishments, confident in their ability and eager to continue writing. i believe the secret to the program is the creativity factor. There isn’t a right answer, there are infinite amounts of right answers. That truly is the key to WRiTE BRAiN. The possibilities are endless."

"We are currently using WRiTE BRAiN as a foundational piece of our Expanded Learning Program. One of the things that makes WRiTE BRAiN wonderful, is that it can be implemented across the day. Rigorous enough for the regular day, engaging enough to keep after-school students focused. Collaborative in nature, WRiTE BRAiN supports SEL, ELD, STEM, and ELA standards, and best practices. Simply said, it’s plain FUN! The best part? Our students feel capable, empowered, and proud...priceless."

"WRiTE BRAiN's children's book authoring program was a perfect addition to our 21st Century CCLC after school program! At a school where the focus is primarily on closing achieving gaps, WRiTE BRAiN gives our students opportunities to be free thinkers, and to explore the magnitude of their creativity. I love seeing the wheels turning in the mind of a student crafting a description of an illustrated Story Card or sharing their perspective on a character. Our students are learning new strategies to assist them with collaborating in groups and learning how to resolve differences of opinions. I believe in this program wholeheartedly. My students showed great growth academically and socially, which made my day— every day."

"Fullerton School District is committed to personalized learning and providing resources for students to identify their passion and pathways to achieve their goals. The Writers Guild program is designed to foster our students’ passion by offering an enrichment opportunity for young authors. We have been able to align the Writers Guild program with the WRiTE BRAiN curriculum to offer a unique experience for our students. Our teachers are able to either integrate WRiTE BRAiN into their current curriculum or offer it as a stand-alone program, both of which have proven to be very successful for meeting the objectives of the Writers Guild and the needs of our students."

"The WRiTE BRAiN curriculum not only engages our students, but also our teachers, to think out of the box and to make learning fun. The lesson plans and activities are offered at their fingertips to ensure that lessons are accessible and engaging. Our educators are able to see the vision and buy into it, therefore offering our students a remarkable experience."

"My colleague and i were so excited to help facilitate our first WRiTE BRAiN class this past semester. Right away, i fell in love with the colorful and engaging course materials! We were able to complete two lessons from the curriculum guide per class period. The curriculum is so comprehensive and clear that it allowed me to focus my energy on the students, rather than on structuring the class. The flexibility of the program also allowed us to add a few additional activities as needed. At the end of the semester, we held an event for our Young Authors, where we projected digital versions of their beautiful, finished WRiTE BRAiN BOOKS for them to read aloud to an audience that included our Vice Principal, school counselor, teachers, parents, and fellow students. I'm already looking forward to doing WRiTE BRAiN again next year!"

"After using WRiTE BRAiN BOOKS, my students were transformed. They would ask me if we could have extra classes, stay after school, or take their writing home. i watched reluctant writers shed their fears as they each focused on telling their story. The rigor of the WRiTE BRAiN curriculum consistently and precisely addressed standards and content my students needed to know. Watching students read their published books to their peers was one of the highlights of the year! Even better was when students entered class the next day and asked if we could start a new book. i knew WRiTE BRAiN was innovative and revolutionary when i first encountered it. Now, after implementing WRiTE BRAiN, the transformation i saw in my students proves it."

"Because each author viewed the illustrations through his or her own lens, the students’ stories were completely unique, even when the images were exactly the same. The children walk away understanding perspective and how to be flexible thinkers. That is invaluable."
