Fangy Franny and Miss Witchgupta were waiting at the door for Green Gilberto, Ghost Gabriella, and Furry Frightenschmacher, who was trying to sneak his stuffie into his backpack. Ghost Gabriella was helping him but the stuffie wouldn't fit. "Huddle up people!" (That's how Miss Witchgupta says, "Let's Go!") Fangy Franny will be our line leader and gets to sit in the front of the Magnificent Monster Bus!
They got into the ghostly, greeny, grimy, magnificent monster bus and zoomed past the apple tree. They couldn't wait to get into the aquarium where they would see the magical mermaid who can turn into a scientist but still have her tail.
When they approached the doors of Durina, Miss Witchgupta clutched her red purse. She was feeling nervous because it was her first time as a kindergarten teacher. "Do not lose the group!" she said firmly. They headed inside...
Once they entered, Gabriella greeted a fish who tried to tip his hat to her. Gilberto found a crab in one of the spots in the crowded aquarium. Franny was greeted by a Shmungerlane Seal. (You will see what she finds out about this Shmungerlane Seal in three pages.)
Inside the glass tanks, there were heart-shaped clams, golden sea stars, a very crazy whatchamacallit, and colorful coreenzo that stick with the waves like blowing balloons. Frightenschmacher was sad because the fish were not free.
Ealmeile taught everyone the cycle of raindrops. The water comes out of the cloud and goes into the ocean and then comes out of the ocean as the sun dries it up and it goes back into the clouds. Then she explained how big sharks can be and how small they can get! Franny snuck the last living Shmungerlane Seal out of its tank.
They moved to the middle part. The middle part was covered with sandy dirty stuff and the little ponds with very different colors in them - like orange and yellow and blue and periwinkle and green and purple.
Gilberto was examining a crabtopus while Franny pinched one of the golden starfishes. The seal looked hungry and happy,
Later...on.Durina Beach, everyone sat on the purple plastic picnic blankets. Frightenschmacher had a fantastic lobster sandwich. Miss Witchgupta had one of Green Gilberto's smoothies, which he always loved to make. All of a sudden,
two Frankernos swished down and snatched Gabby's lettuce dinner sandwich and Franny's pickle-eyed pizza! Frightenschmacher was frightened.

After lunch, with nothing left to eat, they all went into the sea, where the mermaid took off her scientist coat. She tried not to splash Green Gilberto in the face because he had glasses.
And finally, for the first time in AGES, Frightenschmacher was Happyschmacher! Seal wanted to go in the water. Happyschmacher was proud of his sand castle!
As they exited the doors of Durina, the seal was disguised! He wore a floppy purple hat, t-shirt, brown mustache, and sunglasses. Inside, Miss Witchgupta knew something was different. One of the kids had a tail and flippers!

My name is Lila and I live in California. I go to Burke's Academy for school and I am a big sister. This is the VERY FIRST book of its kind. I wrote it while my Aunt was in town visiting me on Friday and Saturday. I am almost 7 and I am very excited to be an author.
